Desktop applications have interface requirements the browser does not: dense data, sustained interaction, and a performance floor that never drops. GPUI is the runtime Amkit is aiming at for that work.

What this will be

Amkit’s components and patterns expressed for GPUI, keeping the same accessibility and interaction standards while respecting what a GPU-accelerated native runtime is actually good at.
